Iron Druid Chronology

A handy-dandy reference with linky-poos!
My books stacked on a table! Iron Druid, Ink and Sigil, A Plague of Giants, Kill the Farm Boy
I’ve written some books, eh?

A handy-dandy reference with linky-poos! Things have changed a wee bit because with the publication of the trade paperback editions, we were able to include and consolidate most of the stories and novellas in the order they’re supposed to happen. The audio landscape is still a bit fragmented because we couldn’t repackage, update, or bundle those, but everything’s here, y’all.

The Iron Druid Chronicles

Short Story: “The Chapel Perilous.” A frame story; though the frame is in between books 4 and 5, the meat of the story is set in 6th century Wales. Available singly in most of the world, or in the anthology called Unfettered in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and associated territories. Audio for this story is included in the audio edition of First Dangle and Other Stories, available worldwide.
Novella: Grimoire of the Lamb, set four years before book 1. Now included in print and ebook at the end of the trade paperback edition of Hexed, Book 2.  Available in audio too.
Short Story: “Kaibab Unbound,” set two weeks before book 1. Included in print and ebook at the back of the trade paperback edition of Hounded. Audio included in Two Tales of the Iron Druid Chronicles.
Book 1: Hounded
Book 2: Hexed
Book 3: Hammered
Short Story: “A Test of Mettle,” set during the events of Hammered from Granuaile’s point of view. Included in print and ebook at the end of the trade paperback edition of Hammered. Audio included in Two Tales of the Iron Druid Chronicles.
Book 4: Tricked
Novella (IDC 4.5): Two Ravens and One Crow, available separately in audio, but now included at the back of Tricked in print and ebook.
Book 5: Trapped (which now includes The Dead Flea Scrolls, Oberon’s religion for dogs, in ebook and print)
Book 6: Hunted
Book 7: Shattered (now includes The Book of Five Meats, Oberon’s attempt at a cookbook, in the print and ebook editions)
Novella (IDC 7.5): A Prelude to War, available in audio in the Three Slices anthology. Included in print and ebook at the end of Shattered.
Book 8: Staked (includes “Granuaile’s Notebook” at the end, an illustrated exploration of her questions surrounding undead vampire biology)
Novella:
The Purloined Poodle, the first of Oberon’s Meaty Mysteries, available in ebook and audio (print was a limited edition and is sold out, only available on secondary market; if I’m able to get a print-on-demand thing set up, I will)
Novella: The Squirrel on the Train, the second of Oberon’s Meaty Mysteries, available in ebook and audio. Also trying to get print-on-demand set up.
Book 9, Short Story Collection: Besieged, which is vital to the series despite not being a novel. Ten stories that together comprise the length of a novel, four which are from Atticus’s past that fill in some blanks, and six that take place after the events of book 8 and transition into Scourged.
Book 10:  Scourged
Novella: The Buzz Kill, the third Oberon’s Meaty Mystery, now included at the back of Scourged in print and ebook. Audio is available in the anthology Death & Honey. This story picks up with Atticus, Oberon, and Starbuck in Tasmania a few months after Scourged.
Novella: First Danglein the Iron Druid collection First Dangle and Other Storieswhich includes not only Owen and Slomo’s adventure but stories featuring Loki, Granuaile, and a bonus science fiction story. Available only in ebook and audio.

Ink & Sigil

Book 1: Ink & Sigil (Set about one year after the events of Scourged and several months after the end of The Buzz Kill, this series includes almost all of the characters from the Iron Druid Chronicles)
Short Story: “Gladys and the Whale,” in Unbound II, available in print, ebook, and audio. Origin story of Gladys Who Has Seen Some Shite.
Book 2: Paper & Blood
Novella: The Charteuse Chanteuse, the fourth Oberon’s Meaty Mystery, coming soon in the themed anthology Canines & Cocktails, featuring novellas from Chuck Wendig and Delilah S. Dawson. Available in print, ebook, and audio.
